UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest Results:

 The Briscoe Middle School Advanced Bands went to contest on April 10th & 11th.  

The Symphonic Band earned a first division on stage and a first division in Sightreading to receive a SWEEPSTAKES award!

The Honors Band also earned a first division on stage and a first division in Sightreading to receive a SWEEPSTAKES award too!!!

Dress – Maroon Band shirt, nice blue jeans and comfortable shoes

Dismissal  – Students are dismissed immediately after they perform.

Thank you parents for attending the "Meet the Teacher" evenings this week.  It was great to meet all of you!

When do I bring my instrument to school?

Advanced Bands - Wednesday, August 24th

Beginning Band - End of the 2nd week  

Summer Band Info:

The Summer Band is for advanced band members and will be as follows.  

August 8th - 12th

Concert & Symphonic Band - 8:45am-10am

Honors Band - 10am- 11:15am  

We will meet in the Band Hall.

Bring your music & instrument.

Beginning Band students 2011-12:

We look forward to starting the year and getting you started on your instrument!  If you have been selected on an instrument, make sure to look around at area stores for supplies and equipment.  If your student has not been selected for an instrument, that process will be done the first few days of the school year.

The Briscoe Bengal Band would like to welcome our newest addition to Briscoe Middle School.  Bethany Hirota will be our new Associate Band Director starting the 2011-2012 school year and is very excited to get started! Have a great summer!
